Description

This program prepares the student for the Cisco CCNA Certification exam. Courses are delivered meeting Cisco® Networking Academy® Program standards.

You must take the courses in order (CCNA 1 - CCNA 2 - CCNA 3 - CCNA 4). Under some circumstances you may be allowed to enroll in a course without having completed the previous online course(s). Cisco Networking Academy 1: Networking Fundamentals
Demonstrate specified competencies in various routers, switches, cable analyzers, smart remotes, and cable meters. Demonstrate knowledge of the OSI reference model, the basics of network layout and function, and the elements of TCP/IP. Set up and configure a local area network.

Length & Time

Per Course 12 weeks
Entire Program (all 4 courses) 1 year

Each of the four courses are an average of 150 hours total. Duration per course is 12 weeks.

Workload
This is an intensive course requiring about 12.5 hours a week. The time commitment for these courses will vary depending on your input, needs, and personal study habits. Your work load will include online modules, labs, and exams. Inability to meet this time requirement will reduce your ability to receive the maximum benefit from the courses, or in some cases to complete them.

Courses will be delivered in a blended online and onsite method. There are no official class times for the online portion. We will schedule your onsite exams and labs. Please see the description for more specific information.

Course Materials

Students can order textbooks and software from our online bookstore. All materials should be ordered prior to the first day of class. Students, who do not have the required materials when courses begin, may miss assignment deadlines. The materials may include texts, CDs, software, and online content.

Note: Students in the U.S. should order 3 - 4 weeks in advance. Students outside the U.S. should order 4 - 6 weeks in advance. However, students with disabilities requiring audio books, large print, or other accommodations should contact the Online Student Support Specialist.

Tuition & College Information

Tuition is set by Francis Tuttle Technology Center. Published program tuition rates will apply throughout the duration of your course work and will not be subject to increases. If you drop or suspend your studies, however, the current effective tuition rates will apply to subsequent offerings.

Tuition Costs

Approximate costs for tuition, books, and software:

Per Course Tuition (payable to Francis Tuttle) $349
Books (payable to MBS Direct or provider of your choice) $250-$270
Total Program Cost including books (all four courses) $1650

Optional Costs

Additional costs for college credit and certification exams:

College Credit Per Hour $8
(CCNA Certification Exams (Discount available for FT students only)  $100-200

Tuition Refund

  1. Full refunds must be requested 3 business days prior to the course start date.
  2. Refunds requested less than 3 business days before course start will be subject to a $10 processing fee.
  3. Any refund must be requested prior to the beginning of the second week of the course. No refunds issued after the second week has started.
  • When paying by check, please allow ten (10) banking days for refund processing.
  • When paying by cash, VISA or MasterCard, your refund will take approximately five (5) business days.
  • Full refund available for classes cancelled by Francis Tuttle.
  • Textbook refunds not available. (if applicable)
