Students selected for Francis Tuttle Technology Center's Superintendent's Leadership Academy will participate in an extensive program of leadership and professionalism training this school year. Thirty-six students were selected from more than 100 applicants following a stringent application and interview process.
Among the goals of the Academy, now in its' fifth year, are to help accelerate students' career paths beyond the completion of their respective instructional program. The Academy features self-assessment of personal leadership styles to help recognize how best to utilize traits, leadership skills training specific to style, teambuilding, personal and professional goal development, and job readiness workshops, as well as lessons in public speaking. The students will also participate in community service projects, and will meet with their legislators at the State Capitol.
