Francis Tuttle Business Professionals of America (BPA) students brought home several honors recently from the BPA National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, where they joined more than 5,000 conference delegates from across the nation to participate in national business skill competitions, workshops, general sessions, and national officer candidate campaigns and elections.
Among the honors were Tanffy Chan's first place gold medal, in Digital Media Production; Rachel Bryan's second place silver medal, in Graphic Design; and two team efforts, Administrative Support Team, consisting of Carrie Knightly, Nicole Rhodes, Laurie Burgess and Alycia Grassman; and the E-Commerce Team, consisting of Ali Khoddami, Ryan Upton and Stefan McIntyre, which were both named national finalists.
The Francis Tuttle BPA chapter was also recognized with a Certificate of Recognition for participation in Special Olympics, a Certificate of Recognition for participation in Community Action, and was honored with a Quality Chapter of Distinction award.
The students were excellent representatives of Francis Tuttle and Oklahoma during the leadership conference. One student, Scott Schmitz, was drafted at the last minute to fill in as a campaign manager for Oklahoma's national officer candidate.
