Students of Francis Tuttle's dropout recovery program, Project HOPE, will hold their 5th annual Garage Sale this Saturday, April 2, from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm., on the Rockwell campus, 12777 N. Rockwell, in the Construction Trades building.
One hundred percent of proceeds of this fundraiser go to the Project HOPE activity fund, which assists HOPE students with uniforms, test fees, one-time utility bills, groceries, medications and other necessary expenses.
Project HOPE is an award-winning, highly successful dropout recovery program for students who had dropped out of school or were identified as a potential drop out, and who have decided to reenter the educational process. Many Project HOPE students lack an effective support system to help guide them in the decision making so important to young people.
Project HOPE provides a system where students can attain a high school diploma, a career-based skill and interpersonal skills so important in today's job market which will assist them in their future careers, and throughout their lives. It provides an alternative to the traditional learning environment, while providing a powerful life-changing educational opportunity for students who have rededicated themselves to pursuing an education.
